Turn Off Jump Lists (Windows 10)

Click Start, Settings, Personalization
Click Start, scroll down to Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start or the taskbar. Select Off

Manually Clear Jump Lists:

Go to %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations

Delete Program’s Jump List (see below link)
e.g. recent Excel 2010 list – 9839aec31243a928
